to ever go back to work. Although, I suppose I should. Money is unfortunately something we need in life.
What a great day today was. Everyday I am not at that hole I call hell, is a moment in heaven.
Today was sorta productive. I applied for jobs, worked out, took my dogs for a walk, ate subway, did laundry, watched beverly hillbillies, bought Kaite's X-Mas gift, bought my brother's B-Day gift, wrapped gifts, slept in until noon, unloaded the dishwasher, ate dinner, and took a hot bath.
As empty and sad that I still feel, I am finding joy in the little things in life.

Oil Change
I found a coupon for an oil change at the 76 on princeton. I go in yesterday at 1pm and there were no cars in the shop. I figured it wouldn't take long. I tell the guy I need an oil chg and he says to come back tomorrow, he only has one guy working today. I say I can't. He tells me to pick my car up at 10pm (on a saturday). I tell him 9 hrs to do an oil change? Are you insane? Tells me to come back at 5pm. 4 hrs for an oil change? I ended up going to Jiffy Lube and paid a lil bit more and waited 15 minutes lol. You'd think people would want customers to come in, esp in a recession. :)

Friday night fun
Spring Break is over (officially on Monday) which doesn't really make a difference in my life. The semester will be over at the end of next month, which means the quicker Spring Break is over, the quicker the whole semester will be over!
Last night, I met M @ West Coast. Met up with friends and shared pitchers of Hef. MMM.

The night was enjoyable, filled with good drinks and good music. I ran into a few old friends/acquaintances which is always cool. I have been meaning to drive out to the valley and visit my friend Skip, but have not been able to. Turns out I didn't have to because he was out and about last night! We caught up on life, cheers each other and watched M sing up on stage.

Strange
Strange seems to be the key word of my Friday.
*miscomunication with friend at work.
*my friend M and I both texted each other the same thing at the same time.
*M also was sporting the Abbey Road bag (see post below) in light brown!
*we both had on leggings, a mini skirt, and a tshirt on.
*ended up at my ex best friend K's ex boyfriend B's apartment with M (B's neighbor growing up!) and 2 of my old neighbors I grew up with.
The day did end better than it started, so I can't complain! I went out with M to get some drinks and see some live local music. I was impressed too! A mixture of reggae, classical, hip hop, indie rock. M even went up on "stage" (lack of) and sang!! I was so impressed with her for being confident (my shirt that night said confident, strange.) Good times.
Today has been the opposite of strange, but a rather lazy and indulgent day of pampering myself with candles and a bubble bath! ...as well as a California Pizza Kitchen Garlic Chicken Pizza. MMM!

happy saint patrick's day!
Happy Saint Patrick's day! Almost over here...18 more minutes.
It's going to be 80 degrees tomorrow in so cali! This means I will finally and offically be welcoming in spring with my new high heels and a dress!! Time to lay out this weekend, because my legs are a disgustingly off white shade right now which isn't the most flattering with blonde hair...or at least this is what people have been telling me. :-/
Off to dreamland now...adios amigos.

Running with Scissors

I just had the best reeses oatmeal cookie!
I really don't want to be at work right now. This whole week actually...hmm...probably because it's my birthday week but frankly, I am not even that thrilled for my birthday. Another day, just a year older. Nothing to celebrate...besides getting my hair done.
I walked into the kitchen this morning at work and I noticed a box of books sitting on the floor near the door. I walked over and the first book that caught my eye was "Running with Scissors" by Augusten Burroughs. I read this book back about 3-4 years ago and had been meaning to re-buy it, mostly just for the fact of having it in my book shelf. Weird how things work out...so I snatched it up and now I have something to read at lunch!!
