Santa Monica

Went to Santa Monica yesterday, which was a great time! I walked around Third Street Promenade and checked out H&M, Urban Outfitters, Zara, Club Monaco and Barns and Nobel. I bought a blue and white stripped skirt from Urban, and a red halter top from H&M. I also picked my mom up a little leather change purse from Club Monaco.

Found a lovely British shop with everything British. I got 2 bags of Walker potato chips and some English toffee for my father. Now that I know it's there, I will have to go back and stalk up on some goodies!

I walked over to the beach to snap some photos. The weather was beautiful this weekend, everyone was outside! The waves were humongous! Apparently, there is a storm off the coast somewhere and the waves have been extra big. So large in fact, there has been one fatality. There was also a great white shark sighting off the coast of Malibu the other day.

I got some lunch at Panera Bread, which was the half Chicken Frontega Panini and a bowl of French Onion soup. The Panini comes with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, chopped basil, red onions, chipotle mayonnaise, and of course smoked white chicken on a tasty Focaccia bread. It filled me up quite nicely!

I headed home after a few hours. Drove up the P.C.H (Pacific Coast Highway) to Malibu Canyon Drive which turns into Las Virgines Road.

Katie in Paris!

This summer would of been amazing to fly to Europe to get away from life and work for a few weeks...

..Fortunately, I know someone who did, so I can vicariously live through her! Hehe.

Her name is Katie Harlow. She for the first time ventured out to Europe for a two week course at Parson's school of Design in Paris, France. She left on the Fourth of July, which is ironic since it's her first independent abroad experience. Her first experience abroad a matter of fact! Today she visited Champs de
Lycees, where they went around taking photos. She wrote saying that
"The Champs
de Lycees is huge!! So many stores, beautiful gardens and GORGEOUS monuments. You would LOVE it!".

So far she has visited Luxembourg Gardens, Latin Quarter where the
Panthenon is, Montmartre in Northern Paris (where the Moulin Rouge is), Fashion district, and a neighborhood in Paris called Hotel de Ville.

She writes abo
ut the fashion, "The fashion is so great here! Everyone dresses up which is awesome. I have yet to see someone walking around in sweats and tennis shoes."

It's true! When I ventured off by myself to the great unknown (England and Wales) last summer, I was amazed at how nicely everyone dresses. Very impressive! When I got back to L.A, all I saw were girls wearing their Victoria Secret PINK sweatpants. There is a definite difference between LA and London fashion wise. They take risks and we don't.

This weekend she ventures off to Versailles and Charter.

Traveling decisions

I originally wanted to go back to the UK this summer but when I realized it's half way through March and realized I am still paying off bills from when Alex was here in December. So, I am thinking August is more reasonable. August or September. I don't want to rush myself and not have enough money to do anything. I'll get my tax return and pay off my debt. After that, it's strict saving! I will have to cut out quite a few things from my weekly spending (such as cigs, coffee, clothing, food).
I am hoping to visit London, Cardiff, Liverpool, Birmingham (to see Jessie), Edinburgh, and Paris. Of course, I will have to see how much money I can save.
This will be my last trip out there for a while. I need to save money and get a new car (mini cooper). If Alex really "loves" me and wants to be with me, then this next trip will be a good time to really let me know that and do something about it, or else I have to more on. We've known each other for 3 years now. We have to make a decision on whether we will be just friends or lovers. ::Shrugs::

Hollywood

So this weekend, my friend Katie and I went out to Hollywood because B REAL from Cypress Hill was having an album release party. When we were driving out of Bel Air and into Beverly Hills/Hollywood area we saw this sign...
We drove past club "Social" and noticed that the line was insanely long. All of Hollywood was just INSANE on Saturday because of the Oscars that were going on the next day. They had Hollywood & Highland closed and the traffic on Sunset Blvd was hideous! We even saw a undercover cop driving a crap car talking on his walkie talkie! We ended up at Mel's Diner. Katie got a shake, I got a sandwhich & Corona! Yum yum!!

When we were done we decided to get away from Hollywood for the night and head on over to Santa Monica. From the 405 we took the 10 and exit Lincoln Blvd where we ended up at La Cabana, a mexican resturant open until 3am!!! This is where we met up with the auditor and his gorgeous friends! Katie sat next to a male model from Costa Rica, named Carlos! Across the table was the Brad Pitt look-a-like who also drove an all black motorcycle and looked amazing!! I told him he looked like Brad Pitt and then he insisted I tell his girlfriend. haha. Lucky girl!
We left around 2:20 and when we walked out of the resturant we witnessed a helicoper/police chase that happened to end up across the street from where we were. Looked like 3 kids (2 boys and 1 girl) my age who got busted. Must have robbed somewhere or maybe it was drug related. It was getting late, so we headed back to Moorpark and called it a night!
