San Diego

I went to San Diego last weekend with some friends to visit a friend. We only stayed a night, but it was a great night! We went to Pacific Beach, layed on the sand, BBQ chicken, steaks, shrimp wrapped in bacon, red peppers with feta cheese and onions. The food was amazing! We drank sangria and played 7, 11, or doubles. The next day we stopped in La Jolla, got breakfast at The Cottage, saw seals, walked around in tide poles and took in the beauty of the ocean.

I love San Diego

rainy birthday's

I think I may have sprained my ankle last night. :-x I tripped a few times, and this morning I could hardly walk on it! Oops. It was a fun night, we celebrated Mike's birthday by going out for seafood. I tried a blueberry ale, which was very tasty! We got calamari for an appetizer, which was amazing! I ended up ordering the fish & chips! I haven't had fish and chips since I was in England (summer 2008). After a delicious dinner and a happy birthday song for Mike, we went over to Mary's (Mike's girlfriend) house and drank wine for a few hours and had great conversations. We were supposed to go out to a pub, although, it was raining, so we stayed local.
Good times.

i went a lil darker...

I dig it. It'll be a nice change. Maybe during summer I'll add some highlights. We'll see.

Happy March 1st! I can't believe it's already March...

Time has surely flown by!

Beirut

While browsing Rockstar Diaries, I came across this video that Naomi posted.

...I love love...

and these...

birthdays

MmmMmmMmm...i'm sitting in my room, eating a mini cheese pizza from Pizza Hut!

I got off work today and stopped over at Cosmoprof. Picked up Back to Basic's Blue Lavender conditioner. I haven't used it before, but the girl recommended it, so I thought I would give it a try.

After shopping, I headed over to the gym. I love my gym! It's privately owned, it's never crowded, the owner is nice, the people are nice, and the equipment is nice! Plus, since my parents go to the same gym, the third person to sign up in the family (me), only pays $13.95 a month! Can't beat that!

I did 45 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of weights. Not too shabby :)

Anyway, I just celebrated my 24th birthday the other weekend. I went out with Katie and Greg to Hollywood for some tasty Mexican food for lunch, sprinkles cupcakes afterward, and sushi for dinner. Here are some photos:
Me and my banana margarita! (i had two)
My blue dress only cost me $14.50 at Forever 21. Hahah. I had a great time! The waiter at the Sushi restaurant put whipped cream all over Ryan and my face, since it was both our birthday celebration. (Me-Jan 30th, him-Feb 1st) He also gave us three free bottles of cold Saki. Amazing.

Coyote's scare me

I just heard the most god awful sound...i think some coyote's just killed an animal. I want to cry...

these are not the sounds I would like to hear before I go to bed...

I am glad my babies (my doggies) are inside safe. I won't let them go outside in the backyard unattended. We live on a hill and the coyote's freak me out.

I hope I can have sweet dreams tonight.

good nite.

p.s. I know I haven't written in a while, but no one reads my blog anyway, so i don't feel bad. Although, maybe if I were to blog more frequently, people would read! HAH.

Kona, my love!

Isn't she beautiful?!? I love my angel <3 <3

Solstice Canyon

I went hiking in Solstice Canyon, with two girlfriends of mine, Krista and Angel last weekend. Solstice Canyon is located of the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in Malibu. Take Kanan all the way down to PCH and make a left, go down for about a mile, until you see the 76 gas station, make a left onto that street, which will lead you to a parking lot.

Krista and I did not know what to expect, since we haven't been hiking very much. Angel knew the trail, so she was our little tour guide.

We went down a pretty easy trail over to the burnt down mansion. This mansion was build in the 1950's and in the 1980's, a fire broke out and the mansion burnt down.

We sat around and drank some wine (it's legal to drink and walk around naked in the santa monica mountains) until we build up the energy to hike up a mountain. Krista was not happy, since all she had were converse on.
We managed to make it to the top without our heart exploding! It felt great! We could feel the burn!
When we reached the top, the sky looked amazing that day!

What a beautiful hike! There are so many trails around where we live, we want to do this every Saturday!
We headed to the beach near Zuma in Malibu, to watch the sunset and finish our wine. Can you believe this sunset!?

We decided to take photos of our silhouette and the sunset behind us, which turned out great!!!
We finished our wine and decided to headed back up the canyon, looking out the back window, as we listen to the white album, watching the sunset fall into the ocean...beautiful.

Michigan

Who knew that on January 2nd, 2010 it would be 75 degrees outside?! Poor Shirley, will have to leave this 'summer' behind and return to the actual winter that is Michigan. We have been entirely spoiled rotten with such beautiful weather. It's a bit ridiculous, but for the price us Southern Californian's pay, we expect this beautiful weather! Although, a part of me misses the actual four seasons. Sometimes, I close my eyes and it takes me back to a time when I lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan. For the three years during High School, I did adapt to it fairly okay. I was blessed to have two snowboarding/ski hills within a mile from my house, I lived on a lake which made ice skating fun (i was a figure skater at this time as well), and I had a sweet boyfriend to cuddle and drink vanilla chai's with...life was different. A part of me truly misses Michigan. Los Angeles, can be quite toxic. Michigan felt real.

Underwood Farms

I got two heads of butter lettuce. Yum!
Went to the farm today! It was a dandy experience, indeed! I used to go here as a child and ride the ponies at the petting zoo, pick pumpkins, and ride on the hay ride. :) They have done some expanding and have made it look so cute! Whenever/ if I ever have children, I am bringing them to this farm so we can share the same memories of ponies and pumpkins. heh.
The farm is very conveniently placed down the street from my house, which makes having fresh fruits and veggies much common at home.

cielo drive

This photo was on Cielo Drive. Actually, if you go up Cielo Drive and stop before you hit Bella Drive (right), take the little drive way on your left hand side (across from bella) and go all the way up that driveway until you reach the gate. You will see a few houses/duplex's to the left as you go down the driveway. The gate is where the Manson family had cut the telephone wires, and this is where they, unfortunately, entered the Tate/Polanski property.

Sharon <3

Found these photos of Sharon online. She's such a beauty! Sharon Tate would be my ultimate fashion icon. Her and Marilyn. She was known for her mini skirts and was quoted saying if mini skirts were invented when she was in grade school, she would of had the shortest one! Sharon and I are both Aquarians, and I can sense that rebellious nature in us. She was one of the sweetest human beings on this planet, and I literally think of her everyday.

Jay Leno

I went on a date a few Sunday's ago. I arrived at this guys condo (I had gone out with him a few times already) to meet him before we went on a motorcycle ride. We left and drive through Simi and over the Santa Susana Pass (where the Manson family hide out in the late 60's) and over to Topanga Canyon.

photo cred: City-data.com
I made sure he did not go onto any freeways since it was basically my first time on a bike. We go to Topanga Cyn and turned right and went down the valley until we reached Mulholland drive. We took that over to the Rock Store, to take a break and look at all the motorcycles. Once I hopped off the bike, I walked around and noticed standing around in a group, Jay Leno. I went up to him and asked for a photo, which my date took.
Always carry your camera with you! hehe. It wasn't the first time I met Jay Leno, I met him once when I was a little girl and used to figure skate at Pickwick's off Riverside in Burbank, which is right down the street from the NBC studios where they filmed the late night show, as well as where they filmed Friends. :)

After the rock store, we went over to the beach and took photos and then got lunch at Neptune's Net which was yummy. We enjoyed a large fat tire, shrimp, crab cakes, fish and french fries. :P

It's been a while since I have blogged. I started school in August and have been super busy since. Working full time and taking 3 classes at school, as well as fitting room into having a social life. I like the feeling of not being bored though. I have more energy and feel like I am doing something in my life.
This semester I'm taking Extreme Aerobics, Writing and Reporting for media, and Photography. Haha, not too bad of a schedule to me!

I went out to jeckell's last night to watch The Atomik Kangaroo's play. Not many people showed up, but the guy I went out on Sunday with, did show up!
Krista invited me out to din with her and Blake after work yesterday, before the show. Krista and I ordered off the kids menu and blake drew penis's all over the menu's with the kid crayon's. Haha.
We got to the show and got some drinks.
Greg was already there, so we went up to him and had some drinks and enjoyed some live music! good times.
